ALWAYS REMEMBER THE RIVER QUEST CODE:
1. Allow yourself plenty of time.
2. Be prepared for weather.
3. Keep to established paths.
4. Avoid damaging fences and stone walls.
5. Do not disturb or remove cultural or historical artifacts.
6. There’s no need to dig – none of our Quest boxes are buried underground.
7. Respect the “treasure" box as the private property of the host group.
8. Don’t reveal the locations of hidden boxes to others… until they have Quested for themselves!
9. Carefully re-hide the treasure box where you found it.
10. Keeps pets under control.
11. Observe wildlife from a distance.
12. Please do not feed wild animals.
13. Don’t litter – pack it in and out!
14. No fires.
15. Carry sufficient drinking water.
16. Respect wildlife, plants and trees.
17. Be especially careful in wet areas, on steeper slopes and in sensitive wildlife habitat.
18. Keep eyes, ears and heart wide open.
19. Look and listen and learn from the world.
20. Always follow the River Quest Code. Don’t risk getting lost. Have a good map and compass whenever you go into an unfamiliar area – as well as a field guide and first aid kit. Be respectful of other beings and the land, and have a wonderful time Questing!
